God is building us to be a house, a sanctuary

Imagine if you will walking into a wonderful home that is so inviting. The first thing you notice is the smell of fresh baked bread. Everything is so well laid out, the furniture, the paintings and photos. You notice that there are no dark areas in the rooms because the lighting is so well placed through out the place. One room just seems to flow to the next and though everything feels like it’s in order, it doesn’t give that sanitized sense that causes you to be hyperaware like you can’t touch anything. The feeling is, I’m home. Did you know God is building you into a home like that? He wants to hang out with you in you. You are His home and He’s creating this wonderful space for you and He to live. In this home, there is no place that He can’t go, every space He fills up with Light, Life and Love. Let’s take a peek at this home God is building you into.

Proverbs 24:3-4

Through Wisdom a house is built  (We are the house individually & Corporately)

And by understanding it is established. (Established meaning to define or structure the rooms) To create certain spaces of purpose

By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. (Our defined purposes “rooms” are filled with the inheritance that comes from knowing our heavenly Father) Precious = “glorious splendid weighty and INFLUENTIAL”

Pleasant riches = “sweet to the taste or sweet to hear”

The rooms are filled with the inheritance we receive from truly knowing God, not just knowing about him. As Moses knew the ways of God (but Israel only knew his actions) He knew why God did things, not just that he did them.

Knowledge means knowing God intimately. This is where we learn of our inheritance as Sons and daughters. The precious and pleasant things are the identity and destiny of the church. The giftings that glorify God and show off His nature and WHY He does things come in weightier measure and influence culture when modeled through the likeness of Jesus in us.

Ephesians 1:15-22….It totally goes right in line with Proverbs 24:3-4

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the SPIRIT OF WISDOM and REVELATION in the KNOWLEDGE of Him, 18 the eyes of your UNDERSTANDING being enlightened; that you may KNOW what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance IN the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. WE ARE THE ALL THAT HE FILLS…ALL in ALL, he fills us!!! His inheritance in us is our inheritance too. The inheritance is to and through us because we are IN HIM and He is IN US.
